ABOUT BRENT WM. PRIMUS
Brent
Primus is currently the C.E.O. of Primus Law Office,
P.A. He attended College at Lawrence University
where he majored in philosophy. Upon graduation
from Lawrence in 1968, Brent served two years
with the American Peace Corps as an agricultural
extension agent in rural India.
Brent began his legal career investigating auto
accidents while still in high school. He received
his Juris Doctorate in 1973 from the University
of Minnesota Law School. Since then Brent has
been with the Primus Law Office.
Over the years he has represented clients in
virtually all types of legal matters. He has also
lectured and presented seminars to local and national
organizations on litigation and transportation
topics.
Brent has had extensive experience litigating
matters in State District Court, Probate Court,
Federal District Courts, U.S. Bankruptcy Courts
and State and Federal Administrative Agencies.
Brent was admitted to practice in Minnesota in
1973, the U.S. District Court for the District
of Minnesota 1974, the Eighth Circuit Court of
Appeals in 1993 and the U.S. Supreme Court in
1994.

ABOUT LAUREL E. LEARMONTH
Laurel
Learmonth is a shareholder in Primus Law Office,
P.A. She is on the Board of Directors of Volunteer
Lawyers Network, a non-profit organization with
a goal of providing free legal services to the
disadvantaged. She was a former chair of the Individual
Rights and Responsibilities Committee of the Hennepin
County Bar Association, and served on the Professional
Advisory Boards of other charitable organizations.
She has acted as a consultant to several professional
organizations, particularly in regard to the drafting
of codes of ethics. She successfully prosecuted
the first case under the University of Minnesota
Sexual Harassment Policy.
Laurel grew up on the edge of Detroit, Michigan.
She received her B.A. degree from the University
of Michigan. She received her J.D. degree from
the William Mitchell College of Law and was admitted
to practice before the Minnesota State Courts
and the U.S. District Courts in 1979. Her practice
consists of all aspects of family law and she
also represents both businesses and individuals
in a wide variety of other areas. She has clients
in Japan and Germany and various parts of the
United States.
